Woodworker

Roger Symons

Roger Symons was born and raised in Kenya before moving to a small farming community in Australia. He developed a love and appreciation for nature in the form of the native trees and wood in the forests and bush land of his surroundings. This general appreciation encouraged him to begin wood turning.

Largely self taught, Roger developed his own unique style and put together a collection of giftware primarily using woods unique to Western Australia, including Jarrah, Sheoak, Marri and Karri.

Roger finds living in Denmark among some of the most beautiful trees in the South West, provides him with endless inspiration to draw on in his work.
