Cast small–scale forms in new or recycled metal using a simple vacuum method and learn how to make them into wearable treasures. This is a great class to pursue on its own, or link with one of FAC’s other jewellery courses.

Explore Lost Wax Casting (Saturdays)

Discover the simple technique of cuttlebone casting, and the art of lost wax casting, a process in which a mould is created out of wax, burnt away and then refilled with metal. These techniques allow for fine detailing on a small scale, resulting in exquisite metal pieces.

Pearl Setting and Water Casting In A Day (5 May)

Learn how to set and create a pearl cup using a water casting process in silver for a pendant or a ring. Bring your own pearl or we can provide a freshwater pearl for your piece.
