She has a strong cultural background from her early life on Murchison House Station, with many memories and stories from aunties and uncles and particularly her father. Her artwork celebrates these memories and connection to Country. This work shows her father's Country from Coolcoolaya Station on Murchison River, Ajana and the mouth of the Murchison River, where it meets the Indian Ocean. She says, "In this work I have been working on patterns, moving on from a subject on a background, and have been making the work with two passes through the press for the colour effects. I have been trying to replicate the boldness and drama of the large open landscapes on this country.”
