This painting tells the story of the Seven Sisters as they travel through The Great Sandy Desert hunting and looking for plants, nuts, and fruit. Six of the sisters spread out, but the youngest was left by herself. She came across a man who then tried to catch her and make her his wife. The other sisters went and tried to get her back. The six brought her back and then took her to another place where she would be safe. Within the painting the sisters are represented as the circles, with the youngest of the sisters in the middle. All around them are the Tali (Sand Hills) of the desert.
