In Mozambique and Goa, the decorating, wearing marching and dancing with masks is a cultural practice, an act of affirmation of custodianship of the land and to seek productive harvest.

This work is part of the Indian Ocean Craft Triennial exhibition Curiosity and Rituals of the Everyday.
