"Baluwah is where my great grandfather was born Gilbun is where the Burial ground of all the old people in Mabel Jilurdbun- That’s the water snake in Mabel Downs. His mother ate the water snake and it made her sick the old people told her that she’s going to have a baby and that was my great grandfather Sandy Thomas, Madigan Thomas Husband and the father for my Grandmother Shirley Purdie. Jirrkuny- the big Red Kangaroo Jalungnarnany- the White Kangaroo. They were travelling from Gorge Yard they was digging for ground sugarbag (Bush Honey) then they came along to Norton Bore. But the big red kangaroo stayed at Flat Rock and the white chest kangaroo stay at Norton Bore. Fire and Echidna that’s the dreaming for my Great Grandfather."

I just started painting at the Warmun Art Centre. I have lived in Warmun since i was a baby. The reason why I really wanted to paint, because my Great Grandmother and my Grandmother shared their story with me and I want to continue their story with my children.
