She focuses on Millstream and the waterholes along the Fortescue River. The Barrimirndi story, which explains how the Rainbow Serpent created the Fortescue River, is an important story for the Yindjibarndi people and it often appears in Sharon’s artworks. Her work also features the Yindjibarndi brand symbol and her strong ochre colours reflect those colours used in body painting for ceremony.
