Vessels to hold water, flowers, nice things. Loops woven and layered like stitches repeating. Pinching and pressing clay, making palm sized pieces, wrapping wire, stripping, and felting rope and stitching threads, evidence the deference toward the handmade mark on the surface of these works. Ornamental in nature, these vases decorated in loop pile structures and experimental glazing techniques reference weaving and textile related practices. Ribbons and threads laden with beads and shells connect points across each vase and speak the materials found on the artists daily excursions.
