My art work is an interpretation of all the kwobardak (beautiful) wildflowers that grow throughout the WA regions. I grew up in the country, where I experienced the beauty of nature in all its glory. No matter what season, nature has its way of showcasing its kwobardak (beautiful) work. Walking through the nature reserves out country with family has left indelible memories. I would excitedly anticipate the surprise of new growth of each wildflower through each season. The colours used in this painting represent colours of the kwobardak (beautiful): Everlastings, Bain (pig face), Geraldton Wax, Callistemon, Grevillea flowers and Boronias, just to name a few. When we continue to respect and take care of Boodjah (country), our Boodjah always rewards us in return, with an abundance of flowering growth of kwobardak (beautiful) wildflowers.
