  • Medium

ceramic, shells, sterling silver, freshwater pearl

  • Size

Loops woven and layered like stitches repeating. Discarded charms connecting points and references. Pinching and pressing clay, making palm sized pieces, joining and layering and grouping, building and expanding. This group of 63 pieces together make an ambitious and stunning wall work. Ornamental in nature, decorated in loop pile structures and experimental glazing techniques reference weaving and textile related practices. Ribbons and threads laden with beads and shells connect points across the work and speak the materials found on the artists daily excursions.
