Tanija and Graham Carr are both former architects, who now maintain a fulltime art practice from their studio in the hills outside of Boorloo/Perth. They have worked in collaboration since 1980 producing mixed media sculptural works in leather, clay and wood, which have been extensively exhibited in solo and group exhibitions and art fairs across Australia and the United States. They are represented in collections including The National Gallery of Australia, The Art Gallery of Western Australia, Parliament House Canberra, and Donna Karan, New York. In 2009, they were awarded a Mid-career Fellowship to investigate the use of cast bronze in their work.
