Marika is a proud Nhanda-Wadjarri woman developing an art practice that celebrates family stories and cultural heritage. She lives and works on Nyoongar Country returning to Ku’arlu Mangga for creative workshops and learning on Country with extended family. Marika’s artworks are depictions of her experiences on Country with family Elders and are made by pressing watercolour painting on polyethylene sheets into wet paper in a printmakers press. In 2021, Marika took on the role of Youth Coordinator, working on a project with her aunty and grandmother that shared her Revealed experience with young people.
