Warrane | Sydney

Justin Trendall’s practice reflects a confluence of interests including architecture, history and personal memory. Often referencing monument design, Trendall engages with its classical, neo-classical and Modernist manifestations, particularly in his miniature Lego constructions. This structural logic is also applied in his screenprints that map the people, places and ideas of a specific cultural moment. Featuring intricate webs of interconnecting lines, they offer a psychogeographical understanding of the urban environment in contrast with official cartographies.
