Three years after its celebrated launch, the Indian Ocean Craft Triennial returns to Fremantle Arts Centre’s (FAC) historic heritage galleries with IOTA24, curated by Carola Akindele-Obe & Jude Van Der Merwe.
IOTA showcases the work of international craft artists and groups from six Indian Ocean countries – India, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, South Africa, and includes First nations Australians and Australians of diverse heritages.
At the heart of this multi-venue triennial, the exhibition at Fremantle Arts Centre will offer visitors a dazzling look into the innovative role of craft in the technological era.
